Annapolis Planning

Anyone else can’t believe it’s Friday already? This week has FLOWN by. Work has been crazy and the days and nights just seemed to roll right into each other. It’s definitely a good thing.  It’ll be nice to catch my breath a little over the weekend – though I do have some super fun plans you will no doubt be hearing about later on. 🙂

Tommy and I are going to a friend’s wedding in Annapolis, Maryland in mid-May. We have been to Annapolis once before, for a day trip, and loved it. To capitalize on us already being out there for the wedding, we have decided to make the trip a mini-vacation.

The wedding is on Saturday night, so we plan to drive up there in the late morning on Saturday, enjoy a delicious seafood lunch at Cantler’s, (we went there on our first trip and it was amazing! They also have a great patio along the water, so hopefully it’ll be a nice sunny day) and then will probably walk around downtown for a bit. The historic district has really cute boutiques and shops for window shopping, and er buying.

Instead of staying in one of the two suggested hotels by the couple, we are planning on staying at a cute bed & breakfast somewhere. I have narrowed down a short list of bed and breakfasts that I really like,  and will either spend some of tonight or sometime tomorrow morning looking more in detail at the places and then will make a decision. On Sunday the plan (or at least my plan) is to sleep in and then indulge in a scrumptious breakfast before heading back to D.C.!

If anyone has any suggestions for bed and breakfasts and/or activities to do in Annapolis please let me know!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
