Date Day

Another month, another date night!

July was my month to plan something for Tommy and me to do, and I wanted to do something a little different, somehow. Enter Date Day! I took advantage of Tommy and my being in Annapolis again on Sunday.

After running several errands around town, we stopped at Middleton Tavern to cool off and grab a bite to eat before heading back to D.C.  We decided to split two appetizers and one entree.

Crab Balls - essentially miniature crab cakes.

The food at Middleton Tavern was okay. The Crab Balls were good, but the Fried Green Tomatoes and Fish and Chips were so-so. While I decided not to partake in a cocktail (I reasoned I had a half bottle of champagne back home that needed some drinking), I perused the drink menu and there were definitely some fun and delicious-sounding drinks on the menu. Maybe Middleton Tavern is better known for their booze? Its location was super convenient as it was right in the heart of downtown and had a good view of the water and boats along the pier.

As if we hadn’t had enough of a not-so-healthy food experience, at Tommy’s persisting we also stopped by to get some ice cream from a local ice cream shop.

Two scoops of Cookies 'N' Cream please! (We also shared this, much to Tommy's disappointment.

Hope you have a great Wednesday!
