September in Maine

Tommy and I had big things to celebrate in Maine this weekend – a wedding and his mom’s birthday! It was a wonderful weekend, that went by way too quickly (of course).

We had some time to kill at the airport before we flew out on Friday night so we grabbed dinner at Obrycki’s Restaurant & Bar.

On Saturday we had a leisurely morning and before we knew it, it was time to head to Tommy’s sister, Christy’s, house for the wedding. Christy’s husband’s oldest son was getting remarried at their cabin in Naples, Maine.

The wedding was lovely. The weather was cool, but not too cold and everyone had a great time. The bride and groom looked so happy and in love, which is honestly all that matters at any wedding. 🙂

The next day we took out Tommy’s mom for her belated birthday lunch. (Her birthday was the day before AKA the day of the wedding). We wanted to celebrate her again! We decided to eat at Ruby Tuesday’s since it is one of her favorite restaurant’s and because the restaurant was also supporting a fundraising campaign for the nonprofit I work at. It is also where Tommy’s younger sister, Danielle, works. SCORE!

Happy birthday, Mama Comeau!

Right after lunch it was time for Tommy and I to say our good-byes. Some tears were had, but we’ll be back soon enough for Thanksgiving!
