Sorry I was MIA yesterday – we had a 2-day work retreat that ended today and yesterday was crazy and exhausting.
Let’s rewind back to Wednesday night. Coca Sala sure does a great happy hour, Chocolate and Bubbles happy hour to be exact. Coca Sala describes itself as a luxurious chocolate boutique lounge and restaurant. In addition to cocktails they also serve savory and (of course) sweet treats. Happy Hump Day folks!
Last night I got a much needed haircut – seriously, I looked at my calendar and realized my last haircut was almost a year and a half ago. Whoops. I didn’t do anything drastic, just a trim and some layering in the front. While my stylist said my hair wasn’t in too bad of condition, she made me promise to come back in May for a more regular visit. 🙂 I have been going (off and on) to the Bang Salon in the Verizon Center and have been pleased with all of my haircuts. 1) Tommy and I tried another restaurant in our hood, Neptune’s Seafood Pub (less than 5 minutes away from our house). We found another keeper! I ordered the seafood pasta where they were incredibly liberal with the amount of shrimp, scallops, and mussels served over the pasta. It was yummy. I did snap a picture of my meal, but accidentally deleted it several days later, whomp whomp. Continue reading
On Saturday Tommy and I hosted a housewarming party for our friends and family. We were blessed with amazing weather on Saturday – mid 60s, so our guests were able to hang out on our deck and all the kiddos that came with their parents had a blast running around in our backyard, exploring our little creek, and playing in the mud!
