Chocolate and Bubbles

We made it to Friday!

Sorry I was MIA yesterday – we had a 2-day work retreat that ended today and yesterday was crazy and exhausting.

Let’s rewind back to Wednesday night. Coca Sala sure does a great happy hour, Chocolate and Bubbles happy hour to be exact. Coca Sala describes itself as a luxurious chocolate boutique lounge and restaurant. In addition to cocktails they also serve savory and (of course) sweet treats. Each item on the menu has something chocolate in it, whether it’s actually chocolate or a liquoer.

I had given my friend Julie a handmade gift certificate for a night of drinks and dessert at Coco Sala whenever she wanted for her birthday last year. She finally decided to cash in on her gift. 🙂

When we arrived at the restaurant we had 15 minutes until happy hour closed so we took advantage. (Completely unplanned).

We started off with a round of “MMMs” or Malted Milk Martinis.

And then ordered a lot of small bites (both savory and sweet) that included chocolate creme brulee, shrimp crostinis (pictured), frites, and mac ‘n’ cheese with chocolate bacon.

We then decided to order another round of delicious cocktails.

I settled on the Allure (pictured) and Julie ordered the Fetish (fresh strawberries/chocolate-infused vodka/strawberry foam/chocolate dipped berry).

If you haven’t been to Chocolate and Bubbles yet I highly recommend you go. The happy hour is everyday from 4-7pm. Here is the menu. Happy birthday (again) Julie!

Have a great weekend!
