Tuesday Tidbits – 91

Happy Tuesday everyone! For those in the U.S., I hope you had a great Labor Day weekend.

I spent my holiday weekend in Panama City, Florida on a bachelorette party for my friend Allison. It was so fun! I had never been to PCB (Panama City Beach) before so it was nice to explore a new locale.

1) After some beach-laying, ocean & pool swimming, our group of 7 girls, headed out on two small boats to Shell Island. (The company we used was Adventures at Sea). It was so fun!

There were tons of Cannonball Jellyfishes in the water. Apparently (I didn’t hold one) these types of Jellyfishes don’t sting you. Though it is advised you wash your hands before you touch your face after touching a Cannonball Jellyfish since something on their skin can burn the area around your face since this area on our body is much more sensitive compared to other parts of our body. Good job Allison!

2) Later that night after a small lingerie party at the condo for Allison we headed out for dinner, drinks, and dancing! Dinner was at this great restaurant called Havana Beach Bar and Grill in the Pearl Hotel located at Rosemary’s Beach (about a 30 minute drive from Panama City Beach). The ambiance was nice and lively, and the food divine. I ordered the shrimp ‘n’ grits, though sadly not pictured. After dinner we headed to a couple of PCB bars, Coyote Ugly and Spinnaker.  There may have been some lively karaoke-singing as well at our last bar stop. 🙂

We ran into so many other bachelorette parties while we were there. This other bride-to-be was from Alabama.

3) Needless to say, on Sunday we woke up a bit late…and immediately headed to Liza’s Kitchen for brunch. Best decision of the day. The food at Liza’s was delish – and not just because we were all starving and (some of us) were nursing hangovers. They make everything from scratch and believe in serving the freshest food possible, and there is absolutely no fried food anything on the menu. For the rest of the day we all just sort of hung around watching TV and chatting. As lazy as it sounds, it felt great!

We did find time to take some photos with our cute t-shirts Allison had made!

I had brought back some bachelorette party favors from Bali for everyone, a sarong and candle.

4) Later on Sunday night we were all primped and ready for our last dinner in PCB. We decided to go to Shrimp Boat taking the suggestion from Allison’s cousin Olivia. We were not led astray. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi and shared the Key Lime Pie for dessert. YUM.

5) Alas, Monday morning came too fast. The majority of the girls were headed back to D.C., Dallas, and New York City. Allison and I were on the same flight back home which was fun. We spent the whole plane ride chatting about the weekend.

Thanks for a great weekend ladies and CANNOT wait for your wedding Allison!
