Pasta at Posto

For our November 14th Street restaurant choice last night, we made a game time decision. Originally Tammy, Miki, and I were planning on going to Estadio, but neither one of us were feeling tapas come yesterday afternoon. Instead we opted for Italian at Posto.

It was a beautiful, mild night followed by a delicious dinner. I hadn’t eaten here since last year with my friend Lindsay and was very glad to have come here last night. Everything just hit the spot.

All three of us decided to do the 3 course price-fixe menu for $29 because it just made sense. This included an appetizer, an entree, and either sorbet or gelatto for dinner. Plus plentiful complimentary bread – yes, I’m looking at you Lupo Verde.

Miki and I began with the Polenta.

For our entrees Miki and I also decided to have the kitchen swap the Tagliatelle for the Pappardelle.

And finally for dessert I got the Peach sorbet.

All around good stuff. It was actually kind of nice having the restaurant to ourselves for awhile – which explains why Miki and I were able to make the pasta substitute work for the price fix menu. We attributed the lack of dining patrons to election night and the fact that we were eating at 6pm!
