Miki’s Last 14th Street Dinner, Tear

On Wednesday night Tammy, Miki, Christina, and I dined at Barcelona in honor of Miki’s last 14th Street dinner with us. She and her sweet family are moving to the Denver area later this month. 😦 Not to worry, whenever she is in town we’ll schedule that particular month’s dinner around her visit. You may remember we’ve eaten here before, but we let Miki choose any restaurant she wanted to go to for her last hoorah and she chose to go back here.

Eating here the second time was just as wonderful as the first. Delectable drinks, food, and dessert and all for a really reasonable price. I truly believe Barcelona is one of the best restaurants on 14th Street.

Sangria to start, naturally. We had never seen a purple-colored sangria before. My guess it was in honor of PRIDE?

Ya’ll know about my love of Chicken Croquettes. (We got three orders of these..don’t judge).

I don’t recall ever having Pork Belly, but these guys were delish.

Burrata with strawberries? Yes please.

Because we needed greens…and this Broccolini was exceptionally tasty.

Golden Empanadas.

Steak bites drizzled with Truffle Sauce. (Tammy you are crazy for not liking truffle anything).

And because it was Miki’s night, we ordered dessert – Goat Cheese Strawberry Cheesecake. YES.

Our only 14th Street Eating group photo ever!

Miki, personally, I will miss you very much (and your hubby and little man). I’m so glad Tammy asked if we could bring you in on this eating adventure we decided to indulge ourselves in for 2.5 YEARS. Can you believe it? The first time You, Tammy, and I ate on 14th Street was at Le Diplomate on November 19, 2013. We’ve had some good times eating, drinking, complaining. 😉

Wishing you happiness and fortune in your new residence. Tommy, Ava, and I can’t wait to come visit you all. And maybe you’ll do a guest post for Bee in DC about life in Denver?!

Cheers to Miki, Chris and Baby Zach!
