Good muggy, humid Tuesday morning from the DMV area! Despite the weather I am pleased to report that I banged out a 4-mile run a few minutes ago. Not going to lie, I was thisclose to pushing it off until this evening – and then probably pushing it to tomorrow. So glad I didn’t.

Miki’s Last 14th Street Dinner, Tear

On Wednesday night Tammy, Miki, Christina, and I dined at Barcelona in honor of Miki’s last 14th Street dinner with us. She and her sweet family are moving to the Denver area later this month. 😦 Not to worry, whenever she is in town we’ll schedule that particular month’s dinner around her visit. You may remember we’ve eaten here before, but we let Miki choose any restaurant she wanted to go to for her last hoorah and she chose to go back here. Continue reading

The Front Porch in Del Ray

Happy Friday!

Hope everyone has some fun weekend plans on tap. Later this evening I’ll be heading (solo!) to Greenwich, CT to celebrate my friend Tiffany’s new baby. My friend Christina and I are throwing her a “Mommy-to-Bee” baby shower tomorrow. Looking forward to some much needed “girl-time” with these two as well. El Centro – DC

Our 14th Street Eating Tour finally brought us to El Centro last Wednesday night – YAY! (You may remember that getting this little group back to the 14th Street Corridor has been a little tricky.)

El Centro didn’t disappoint. Most of us had eaten here before – (either dinner or brunch) and we were glad to be here again. We decided to partake in happy hour because, why not? In addition to drink specials, certain food items were available for happy hour too – which we took advantage of. Continue reading
